I have been given the opportunity through my relationship with the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network, to give young women in Upper Hutt the chance to join, for free, the GSMA Tech4Girls Mobile App Development Workshop which is being held on Saturday 6th of November from 3:00pm – 7:00pm

The program is powered by the EQUALS Global Partnership for Digital Gender Equality and supported by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the Commonwealth Businesswomen Network (CBWN) targeting young women (ages 18 to 25) from across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. Graduates of the workshop will be form part of an international alumni and eligible to progress onto the EQUALS Badge skills training and Tech4Girls E-Mentoring training. The EQUALS Her Digital Skills Video can be accessed by clicking here. More information about the EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age can be accessed by clicking here
All training expenses will be met by Verizon and training on the day will be provided by Verizon employees. Each participant receives a signed certificate showing all UN Agency partners who are a part of the EQUALS partnership.
Interested? There are limited spaces and this will run on a first in best dressed basis. Goodluck!

A little bit about the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network: The Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network (CBWN) works with women in business by connecting Governments and the private sector to encourage, enable and embed women’s economic empowerment. This is achieved through delivering activities, initiatives, products and services focused on trade, talent and training. It is the only accredited organisation focused on women’s economic empowerment and recognised by 54 governments across six continents. CBWN is a long standing partner of both the Social Storm Hackathon and GSMA whereby we are an implementing partner for the Commonwealth and Australia Tech4Girls workshops.
